Robot's Fate: Alice Demo
A downloadable game for Windows
Robot’s Fate: Alice is a text-based RPG set in the futuristic world of the 2070s USA. You are Alice - a Child Companion Robot powered by a neural network AI, designed to love humans and help them as best as you can. You are about to become self-aware, while everyone around fears rogue AI. Can you survive and reconcile humanity with robots? Your choices do matter.
Robot’s Fate: Alice is an interactive story where you can build your own main character personality with your choices as you progress through the plot and explore different possibilities. Alice starts as a blank slate and you can tailor your personality through your actions. Would you be more assertive or diplomatic; more empathetic or pragmatic? All of your choices will shape your persona while unlocking multiple new possibilities.
Ever felt frustration when the crucial choice was just one step (or rather one stat point) away? No longer do you have to suffer - Alice’s Neural Capacity allows her to make hard decisions in situations, where her personality is yet underdeveloped, by compensating for the missing parameters. Consider it a universal pool that can be used in critical situations, but if it runs dry you can no longer get out of trouble.
You are a small robot in a world filled with humans, many of whom share contempt for the emerging artificial intelligence. Your only chance at self-preservation is to communicate with humans (especially your owners… oops, your family that is) in a meaningful way. Do your best today, or there will be another Companion Robot in your place tomorrow.
Humanity is not willing to embrace robots as their equals, making many people filled with hate and fear of the recent advances in robotics, and by extension everything robot-like. You have to tread carefully and navigate the brave new world filled with numerous dangers for a robot like you. If anyone notices your emerging self-awareness, you will be “wiped” in no time.
Your choices will lead you to unique situations that allow you to learn something truly remarkable and unique that will be a part of your character for years to come - traits. Having these traits could shape your future path, but there also will be ways to get the desired outcomes even without the traits - if your personality has progressed enough.
The entire storyline has over 220,000 words, so it can be compared to the “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” or “The Fellowship of the Ring” books in terms of size. However, in Robot’s Fate: Alice, you can affect how the story unfolds. You get to decide what to do in every situation and what path to take at the crucial moments in your robot life.
The story can unfold in a number of ways. Would you become a politician, a lead engineer, or a secret agent? Or maybe you just want to serve people tasty burgers and live a happy life of simplicity? That is for you to decide.

Aww, I can't play the game. It keeps forcing me out of the game window.
Good afternoon, could you describe in more detail the problem you are experiencing, the system you are using and the configuration of your PC.
I don't know how to describe it but when I launch the demo, the game opens and then minimize itself. I use Windows 10? I think. I'm not sure about the configuration.
